Privacy Policy - ThesisAnalysis.com & Academic Toolkit

Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 26, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ThesisAnalysis.com and the Academic Toolkit Android application handle information when you use our educational website, academic tools, and mobile application.

ThesisAnalysis.com and Academic Toolkit are maintained by Dr. Singh for educational and academic purposes. We are committed to handling user information responsibly, transparently, and only for legitimate purposes connected with providing and improving these educational services.

Important: Some services described in this policy apply only to ThesisAnalysis.com, while others apply specifically to the Academic Toolkit Android app. These differences are identified below.

1. Scope of This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to:

  • the ThesisAnalysis.com website;
  • the Academic Toolkit Android application;
  • Student Connect within Academic Toolkit;
  • educational calculators and academic tools provided through ThesisAnalysis.com;
  • the Attendance Tracker available through ThesisAnalysis.com; and
  • other educational resources directly maintained as part of these services.

Third-party websites, videos, services, or resources that may be linked or embedded within our educational content may operate under their own privacy policies.

2. Academic Toolkit Android App

Academic Toolkit is an educational Android application designed to provide students with access to academic resources, reading tools, bookmarks, study history, offline academic content, RAWE activity records, student workspace features, and communication through Student Connect.

Academic Toolkit does not require users to create an Academic Toolkit account in order to use the app.

The Android application does not request access to sensitive device features such as location, contacts, SMS, call logs, camera, or microphone for its normal operation.

3. Information Stored Locally by Academic Toolkit

Academic Toolkit stores certain information locally on your device so that its academic and offline features can function properly. Depending on the features you use, this may include:

  • bookmarks and saved academic resources;
  • reading and study history;
  • Continue Reading information;
  • offline academic articles and related metadata;
  • RAWE Activity Record information entered by the user;
  • Student Workspace information;
  • app settings and preferences; and
  • temporarily queued Student Connect submissions when a network connection is unavailable.

Information used solely for these local app features normally remains on the user's device and is not transmitted to us merely because it is stored by the app.

Users can remove locally stored information through the relevant app features where available, by clearing the app's data through Android settings, or by uninstalling the application.

4. Student Connect

Academic Toolkit includes a feature called Student Connect. It allows users to voluntarily:

  • ask an academic question;
  • suggest new educational content;
  • report a problem with the app or educational content; and
  • provide app feedback.

Information is transmitted only when the user chooses to complete and submit a Student Connect form.

Information that may be submitted

Depending on the form and information voluntarily provided, a Student Connect submission may contain:

  • the user's name, if requested and provided;
  • the user's email address, if requested and provided;
  • the academic question, feedback, suggestion, or problem description;
  • a unique submission identifier;
  • submission date and time;
  • Academic Toolkit app version;
  • Android version/API information;
  • relevant academic page, course, or page URL context; and
  • for technical problem reports, device manufacturer and model information where required for troubleshooting.

Why this information is used

Student Connect information is used to:

  • respond to academic questions;
  • review suggestions for new educational content;
  • investigate technical problems;
  • improve Academic Toolkit and its educational resources;
  • process user feedback; and
  • identify or prevent duplicate and abusive submissions.

Device manufacturer and model information is intended for technical problem reports where such information can assist troubleshooting. Academic questions and general feedback do not require detailed device-model information.

5. Offline Student Connect Queue

If a Student Connect submission cannot be delivered because an internet connection is unavailable or a temporary network error occurs, Academic Toolkit may temporarily store the pending submission within the app's private internal storage.

This temporary queue allows the app to retry the submission when connectivity becomes available.

Pending Student Connect submissions are excluded from the app's configured cloud-backup rules so that transient unsent submissions are not intentionally included in normal Android cloud backup.

6. ThesisAnalysis.com Website Information

When using ThesisAnalysis.com, information may be collected in the following ways:

Information voluntarily provided: When you use a contact form, provide feedback, or otherwise contact us, you may voluntarily provide information such as your name, email address, and message content.

Website usage information: Blogger, Google services, analytics services, or related web technologies may process information such as browser type, device type, pages visited, approximate usage information, and interaction with the website.

Such information may be used to operate, secure, understand, and improve the website and educational resources.

7. Attendance Tracker

ThesisAnalysis.com may provide an Attendance Tracker that uses Firebase services provided by Google.

The Attendance Tracker and its Firebase account system are separate from the Academic Toolkit Android app's Student Connect feature. Academic Toolkit itself does not require users to create a Firebase Attendance Tracker account to use the Android application.

The Attendance Tracker may process:

  • Account information: such as an email address and authentication credentials handled through Firebase Authentication.
  • Attendance information: information entered into the Attendance Tracker, such as student names, attendance dates, and attendance status.

This information is used to provide the Attendance Tracker, authenticate users, and enable attendance information to be stored or synchronized where those features are offered.

Firebase acts as a service provider for the operation of these features and processes information according to Google's applicable terms and privacy practices.

8. Calculators and Academic Tools

Many calculators and academic analysis tools available on ThesisAnalysis.com are designed to perform calculations directly within the user's browser.

Where a tool operates entirely locally in the browser, information entered into that tool is not intentionally transmitted to us for the purpose of performing the calculation.

This statement does not apply to services that explicitly require server-side storage or synchronization, such as the Attendance Tracker described separately in this policy.

9. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising on ThesisAnalysis.com

ThesisAnalysis.com may use cookies and similar web technologies to provide website functionality, remember preferences, understand website usage, maintain security, and improve the educational experience.

The website may use services such as Blogger or Google analytics technologies that process website usage information.

ThesisAnalysis.com may also display advertisements through third-party advertising services such as Google AdSense. Advertising providers may use cookies or similar technologies in accordance with their own policies and applicable consent requirements.

You can learn more about how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services at Google's partner sites information page.

Advertising preferences for Google services can be managed through Google Ads Settings.

Academic Toolkit does not include a dedicated advertising SDK in the Android application. However, web pages displayed through the app may contain website content or third-party services governed by their respective policies.

10. Embedded and Third-Party Content

Educational articles may contain links or embedded content from third-party services, such as videos or external educational resources.

When you interact with third-party content, the third party may process information according to its own privacy policy and terms. We do not control the privacy practices of independent third-party websites or services.

11. How We Use Information

Information covered by this Privacy Policy may be used as appropriate to:

  • provide and maintain ThesisAnalysis.com and Academic Toolkit;
  • deliver educational content and app functionality;
  • respond to academic questions and communications;
  • process feedback and content suggestions;
  • diagnose technical problems;
  • operate the Attendance Tracker where used;
  • maintain security and prevent misuse or spam;
  • improve educational resources and user experience; and
  • comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell or rent Student Connect submissions or other personal information submitted directly to us.

12. Data Sharing and Service Providers

We do not sell personal information submitted through Academic Toolkit or ThesisAnalysis.com.

Information may be processed using service providers that are necessary to operate particular features. Depending on the service being used, these may include Google services such as:

  • Google Blogger for website hosting and functionality;
  • Google Apps Script or related Google services used to process Student Connect submissions;
  • Firebase for the separate Attendance Tracker;
  • Google analytics technologies where enabled on the website; and
  • Google AdSense for advertising displayed on the website where applicable.

Service providers process information according to their applicable terms, privacy policies, and the services they provide.

Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law, legal process, or a valid request from an authorized public authority.

13. Data Security

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect information handled through ThesisAnalysis.com and Academic Toolkit.

These measures include, where applicable:

  • using secure HTTPS connections for network communication;
  • storing local Academic Toolkit data within app-specific storage;
  • limiting Android permissions to those required for app functionality;
  • excluding transient Student Connect queue data from configured cloud backup;
  • minimizing diagnostic information transmitted through Student Connect; and
  • limiting the collection of information to legitimate educational, support, security, and operational purposes.

No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should therefore avoid including unnecessary sensitive personal information in questions, feedback, or other free-text submissions.

14. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including providing educational services, responding to communications, resolving technical issues, maintaining appropriate records, preventing misuse, and complying with legal obligations.

Student Connect submissions may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to review the submission, respond where appropriate, maintain support or academic correspondence records, and prevent abuse or duplicate processing.

Pending Student Connect submissions stored locally because of a network failure remain within the application's private storage until they are successfully processed, removed by the application's queue-management behavior, the app's data is cleared, or the app is uninstalled, as applicable.

Information associated with services such as the Attendance Tracker may be retained while required to provide the service or until deletion is requested, subject to legitimate legal, security, or operational retention requirements.

15. Data Deletion and Correction Requests

Users may request correction or deletion of personal information that they have submitted to us, subject to information that must legitimately be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or other lawful purposes.

For Student Connect submissions, users may contact us and provide sufficient information to identify the submission, such as the email address used, approximate submission date, subject, or submission/tracking identifier where available.

Academic Toolkit does not require users to create an Academic Toolkit account. Therefore, there is no Academic Toolkit user account that must be deleted in order to stop using the app.

Locally stored Academic Toolkit information can also be removed by using relevant deletion features within the app, clearing the application's storage through Android settings, or uninstalling the application.

Requests concerning personal information may be submitted using the Contact page on ThesisAnalysis.com.

16. Children's Privacy

ThesisAnalysis.com and Academic Toolkit are educational resources primarily intended for university students, researchers, teachers, and other users of academic content.

Our services are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If we become aware that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected contrary to this policy, appropriate steps will be taken to remove it.

17. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on applicable law and the service involved, users may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information they have submitted.

Users may choose not to submit optional information through Student Connect. However, certain information may be necessary to process a particular request or provide a response.

Website users can manage browser cookies and related settings using their browser controls and, where applicable, advertising or consent controls provided by relevant services.

18. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Academic Toolkit, ThesisAnalysis.com, applicable technologies, or legal and platform requirements change.

Material changes will be reflected on this page, and the "Last Updated" date will be revised accordingly.

Users are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy periodically.

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, Academic Toolkit, ThesisAnalysis.com, or the handling of information described here, you can contact the developer through the Contact page on ThesisAnalysis.com.

Privacy and data deletion requests may also be submitted through that contact mechanism.
